Classes cancelled for K-12 schools due to ATA labour action

The Alberta Teachers' Association, who represent teachers and teacher leaders in FSD schools, is currently on strike, effective October 6, 2025.

• All K-12 classes are cancelled in all schools. Please do not send your K – 12 children to school.
• Transportation services will not be running. Please do not leave your child at a bus stop.

Please note:

• Junior Kindergarten Update: classes will run as scheduled.
• Before and After School Care Update: Many care programs located in FSD schools will continue to operate. This will be communicated by the service provider to affected families.

We value the contributions of all employees who support student success, and we respect the bargaining process. We remain hopeful that both the Teachers Employer Bargaining Association (TEBA) and the ATA will continue bargaining and to come to an equitable resolution that places students at the centre of a flourishing learning community.
