AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
There are a variety of ways to access funds to pay for your post-secondary education. These include bursaries, grants, and/or loans.
HOW TO FIND SCHOLARSHIPS
- POST SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIPS
- Once you have applied to a post-secondary institution and have received a student number, you are eligible to apply for scholarships.
- Search "scholarships" on the post-secondary institution webpage: that will take you to their awards and scholarship page
- External Awards means scholarships available to anyone, not just those going to that school
- Login into your post-secondary’s student portal and submit applications

- EXTERNAL AWARDS
- Find the list of external awards on your post-secondary’s website
- Check out the updated Scholarship Chart that we update whenever a new scholarship comes to our attention
- External awards programs such as ALIS
- Scholarships Canada
- Head to the "Life After High School" website for more scholarships and information
- RUTHERFORD SCHOLARSHIP - Once you’ve been accepted to post-secondary and all your high school course grades are finalized, apply through Alberta Student Aid
