Phil Irwin - Ward 5 Trustee - (403) 601 3364 firstname.lastname@example.org
Phil has been a part of Foothills School Division since 1969 when his family first moved to High River. He graduated from Senator Riley High School before attending Camrose Lutheran College (Augustana - UofA) and the University of Calgary to complete his Bachelor of Education degree. Since then, Phil was on staff at Blackie School for a total of 17 years as a teacher, a vice principal, and finally as the principal. During that time, Phil completed a Master of Arts in Leadership and Administration from Gonzaga University. From Blackie, Phil became Principal of Ecole Senator Riley Middle School in High River before finishing his career as both the Principal of Cayley School and Principal of the division’s three colony schools. During the 28 years that Phil has been an educator in Foothills School Division, all five of his children and two of his grandchildren have been students in FSD; in addition, Phil’s wife, Jacquie, and daughter, Lyndsi, are both teachers in the division. And now, as a school board trustee, Phil — an original High River Mustang — is honoured to be following in the footsteps of two of his former team members, teaching colleagues, and Foothills School Division trustees — the late Doug Gardiner and Bill Young.
