Transportation Update - January 8, 2024
Every effort is made to establish that our buses are sound for travel; however, very cold temperatures are not favourable for our bus engines to start, and stay running. Inclement weather can also lead to unsafe road conditions.
With colder weather arriving this week, our Transportation Services would like to remind all families that bus service delays and cancellations may occur and will be noted on our website. Note that any delays of more than 10 minutes will be indicated on our website's Bus Route Status as "Delayed". Be sure to 'refresh' your browser regularly for accurate information.
We would like to remind parents that bus riders should be dressed for the weather, and be ready to board their bus at least 5 minutes before the bus departure time. We also remind parents to have alternate plans in place for children to get to and from school safely in the event of cancellations or prolonged delays.
We understand that delays and cancellations can add stress to your day. We appreciate your understanding and patience as our Transportation Services team works to coordinate safe operations with our bus drivers, mechanics, dispatch, and administrators.
