Response to former Okotoks minor hockey coach charged with sexual assault in Manitoba

It has come to the attention of Foothills School Division, through the media, that a former hockey coach with the Okotoks Oilers Athletic Association, Madison Biluk, has been charged with a number of offences including sexual assault in Manitoba.

It is our understanding through her role as a coach with the Okotoks Oilers Athletic Association (OOAA) in 2021-2022, Ms. Biluk conducted workout sessions after school hours that were attended by members of the Raiders AA and AAA teams within the fitness rooms at Foothills Composite High School. Although members of our school community were a part of these teams, the use of the school facility by the Raiders teams was under agreement with the Okotoks Oilers Athletic Association.

Foothills School Division can confirm that this individual did not work with any other students, that we are aware of, and has at no time been an employee of the division.

At this time, the division is not aware of any complaints similar in nature to the charges brought against her by the Winnipeg Police.

Foothills School Division supports and encourages any individual who may have concerns about their interactions with Ms. Biluk during her time in Okotoks and with the Okotoks Oilers Athletic Association to please directly contact the Okotoks RCMP detachment.
