Emergency Closures
In the case of a school closure, due to any circumstances, parents will be contacted via phone and email via an automated system. In addition, bus and school closures will be posted on our school website and social media as soon as possible. It is imperative that all families ensure any changes to your personal contact information is up to date with the office.
Announcements regarding school closures or busses that have been cancelled will be made on the following radio stations: AM: 1140 CHRB, FM 100.9 The Eagle and FM 99.7 Sun Country. Updates will be posted on School Division website and social media avenues.
Should a circumstance arise whereby students must be dismissed early or remain late due to inclement weather or any unforeseen circumstance, parents will be notified. If the student’s parent/guardian is unavailable, the student’s “emergency contact person” will be notified.

In the case of an emergency closure while students are at school, information will be provided in the phone and email fan out accompanying the closure. Red Deer Lake Community Centre, or Tanbridge Academy may be an alternative pick-up location should it be deemed the safer location for students.
