Reporting and Communication

The evaluation of student progress is a continuous process.  Some examples include learner conferences, celebrations of learning, progress reports, and student portfolios. 

Teachers assess student understanding by consistently compiling and reviewing student work both formatively and summatively throughout the year.  Marks can be viewed on Edsembli throughout the school year.  Access to marks may be closed throughout the year to allow for the preparation of Learner Profiles to be sent home.

Learner Profiles will be emailed home in February and June.

While two formal reports are issued during the year, parents are encouraged to maintain ongoing contact with teachers regarding their child’s progress.
