My Blueprint
If you’re not sure what you want to do next year, you are recommended to go on the My Blueprint website. Here you have an account. There are many resources in and around MyBlueprint based specifically on your high school plan but one step that you might like to try is the Career Spectrum. This is a detailed analysis of your answers to questions that looks at six different categories. This is similar to a career aptitude test but it is so much more. It looks at:
- Learning Style
- Personality type
- Interests
- Knowledge
- Motivations
- Career Compatibility
Let Ms.Isberg know if you have any questions about MyBlueprint or want to discuss next steps in the career planning journey.
Accessing Diploma Exam Results
Alberta Education is the Government branch that mandates courses, marks, and curriculum. They also are the body that grants High School Diploma’s and marks Diploma Exams. (Most) Grade 12 students will be writing their first diploma exam this January and parents need to understand that the way in which marks are released has changed. Marks will NO LONGER be mailed home, students will need to log on to MyPass to see their diploma marks. MyPass is a portal that connects students to everything to do with their profile at Alberta Education. Students who plan to attend post secondary in other provinces will need to order official transcripts from MyPass, as well as they are able to view and print their unofficial transcript.
Almost all grade 12 students have done 1:1 appointments with Ms. Morck to discuss their graduation plans. Here we signed up for MyPass and ordered their PIN number. The PIN number should have arrived in the mail. Students should have completed the sign up process already. Please ask your student if they have done this and have them show you MyPass by logging on with you.
If they have not signed up for MyPass or they have allowed their PIN number to expire, please take a look at the attached PDF with screen shots on how to sign up for MyPass. If you have any questions, please let Ms. Morck know!
See HERE for the PDF.
