School, School Event Dear Diamond Valley Families,
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for kindergarten programming in the 2025-2026 school year! In collaboration with our two communities, we are pleased to offer both a full-time and a part-time kindergarten program to meet the diverse needs of our families.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Full-Time Kindergarten Program:
- Hosted at C. Ian McLaren School (CIM).
- Requires minimum enrollment numbers to proceed.
- Monthly programming fee applies. (250.00 per month)
- Thank you for your understanding that this is not fully funded by Alberta Education and there will be a monthly charge of $250.00 to attend.
- Available to all families, regardless of your child's designated local school.
- Part-Time Regular Kindergarten Program:
- Hosted at Turner Valley School.
- No programming fee for Part Time Regular Kindergarten as it is funded by Alberta Education.
- Available to all families, regardless of your child's designated local school.
- Will run Tuesdays/Thursdays and alternate Fridays.
- Transportation: If bussing is required for your kindergarten child, it will be provided by the division.
Please note that after the 2025-2026 school year, all kindergarten students will transition to their designated local school for grade 1.
To support families and answer questions, we will host a Kindergarten Information Night:
- Date: January 29, 2025
- Time: 6:00 PM
- Location: Turner Valley School
This event will provide an opportunity to explore the logistics of our kindergarten programs and bring our communities together to discuss this unique initiative.
We are excited to continue offering choices and flexibility for parents while strengthening the bond between our two school communities.
Yours in learning,
