October 21, 2024/25 Weekly Update

Cayley Families,

As we gear up for our first blast of Winter, I want to remind everyone that we generally go outside for recess unless the weather hits -20 degrees celsius. If we could ask you to ensure that your child is prepared by having a warm coat, gloves and headwear as needed and appropriate footwear, that would be appreciated.

School fees are available in your parent Edsembli account, and payments have been coming in. Thank you to those that have made payments. For those that have not paid, please have a look and submit payments ASAP. In the event that you are in need of a payment plan, we are happy to help out- please just give Kellie a call at school and we can discuss a plan. While school fees are generally set by the school, one fee that often generates questions is the band fee for grade 6-8 students. In the Foothills School Division, regional band is a program we are fortunate to have as it offers our students the opportunity to learn an instrument and many students carry on with band when they reach high school; the division does set a $150 instrument rental fee for the course for those students that require an instrument.

Finally, I’d like to invite everyone to school council, which will happen this coming Thursday at 3:30 pm in the school learning commons! Thanks and have a great week!
