- Please try to refrain from sending kids with energy drinks to school please!
- We will be having a Casino this summer (August 23/24). 42 volunteer shifts will need to be filled, more information to follow!
- Twizzler Tuesdays are back! Money from the fundraiser will go towards our Gr 8 farewell
🧠 Tip of the Week: Boost Working Memory with “Repeat-Back” Games
Working memory is like a mental sticky note—it helps kids hold and use information in the moment. Strengthening it can improve following directions, solving problems, and staying focused.
Try this fun activity:
Play a “Repeat-Back Challenge” at home or in the car. Say a short list of items (e.g., “apple, book, shoe”) and have your child repeat them back. Gradually increase the number of items as they improve.
Make it playful:
- Use silly or themed words (e.g., animals, foods, superheroes)
- Take turns being the “memory master”
- Add a twist: ask them to repeat the list backwards!
Why it works: It’s a simple, no-prep way to build memory muscles while having fun.
🎒 Field Trip Ready? Let’s Make Sure!
With exciting field trips coming up, now’s the perfect time to double-check that your child is ready for the adventure!
Here’s a quick checklist to help:
✅ Permission forms signed and submitted
✅ Lunch packed
✅ Weather-appropriate clothing (layers, rain gear, hats)
✅ Comfortable shoes for walking
✅ Water bottle labeled with your child’s name
✅ Any required medications given to staff in advance
Pro tip: Pack everything the night before to avoid the morning rush!
Let’s make these trips fun, safe, and stress-free for everyone. Thanks for your support!
🌟 Until Next Time!
Thank you for staying connected with us! As always, we’re proud of our students, grateful for our supportive community, and excited for all the learning and growing still to come.
