Dress Code
At Cameron Crossing School we believe that all students have the right to self-identify and choose clothing that is comfortable for each individual. The Alberta Government Guidelines for Best Practice: Creating Learning Environments that Respect Diverse Sexual Orientations, Gender Identities and Gender Expressions states, a flexible and gender-inclusive dress code recognizes that all students and staff have the right to dress in a manner consistent with their gender identity or gender expression. Accommodating choices in clothing and general appearance is part of respecting the identity of individual gender identities and gender expressions. Cameron Crossing School is a professional working environment, staff and student dress should also reflect the professional and inclusive educational environment. If a student's attire is deemed inappropriate for an academic setting, the individual will be addressed in private and solutions will be found to accommodate this.
